On Saturday, I went to the London devMEET organised by `cei- in Hyde Park. We had a picnic, and when it got late we ventured to Wetherspoons for food and drink (mostly drink ). I'll tell you some of the more prominent moments of this most memorable and amazing day!

Deviants In The Park 2006 - devMEET Highlights:

Wearing `jnc's Ghetto Hat (basically, a black baseball cap.)
Singing along to *b0w13's guitar, and playing the maracas with =CrystalEternity.
Everyone getting their hair sprayed pink and blue, especially/including =dusty-hacker's beard!
Eating mint ice cream with =CrystalEternity and `jnc (thanks for buying us the ice creams, Josh!)
Some dude coming up to us and threatening to have us arrested by the Park Ranger because some of the deviants doodled in chalk on the pavement (including the site logo! ) - then nothing happening!
Singing the Jigglypuff song with some of the gals!
Going on the tube with ALL OF THE DEVIANTS - and getting stared at! 8D
Going to Wetherspoon's and everyone getting pished (OBVIOUSLY.)
Especially `alyn, who thought the slot machine was called Jeremy, and didn't have a fucking clue where he was. xD;
The saga involving `jnc's "balls".
`alyn's competition to win a one-year sub - to whoever could throw one of `jnc's "balls" into the unattended pint glass we discovered at our table on arrival. Nobody won, because we all throw like little girls. Especially me and =CrystalEternity, predominantly oweing to the fact that we ARE little girls.
An experiment in which `alyn and I tried to see how effective boob pillows were at helping a man sleep.
Going to the loos at Wetherspoons. This might have little to do with the deviantART Community as a whole, but by golly those were goddamned awesome toilets. Possibly the most beautiful, humbling and astounding piss I can say I've ever had.
And just seeing everyone and having a good time with them.

I know I've forgotten a few of you who I spoke to - not your faces, but your usernames. I'm dreadfully sorry. A big clan of fifty people whose names and faces I had to put together and memorise, like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle... I thought you were great, I just can't remember your usernames - but I love you too! ^_^

YOU ALL ROCKED! Thanks for making me so welcome and at ease. I was so worried I wouldn't get along with you guys, and you were nothing but fantastic to me. In short, what a wonderful group of people to know - a big hug to you all, for making it such an UBER time!

I even got a "Deviants In The Park 2006" badge given to me as a free souvenir to commemorate the occasion. I shall treasure it forever. Whoever gave it to me (the day was so hectic, I am sorry, that I cannot remember! ) THANK YOU VERY MUCH, YOU FUCKING STAR. What an awesome way, to show I went to such a great devMEET!

Unfortunately, not everyone could go as they wanted to, involving poor ~AngelsLilDevil - I was looking forward to meeting him, but he has come down poorly with the flu, and couldn't make it! So all you guys who turned up the the MEET on Saturday, be sure to give him a big get-well huggle.

But I don't want him to be sad that he hasn't met his friends at the devMEET! So we need to have ANOTHER one;

So.

After the apparent success of this devMEET, I'm tempted to host another London one myself in mid-to-late October. My birthday is on October 31st (Hallowe'en) - what better excuse for a Hallowe'en devMEET? We can all get smashed in Wetherspoons like we did today, or somewhere else, and have a great time! I'll let you know with details soon. Watch this space.

In the meantime, it's been a long day, and I ache all over from the tiringness of it all. So, to bed I go.
